Your web logs catches most stuff including changing proxy IP range.

You can tell where there entered, where they went and where they left from (last past they viewed) but generally you can't tell where they came from (apart from link or bookmark) or where they are going to (unless via a seperate link)

Proxies are very common, AOL for example have different IP for viewing images and pages and changes quite often. I'm on the other side of the world to AOL and I am also on a proxy that changes per session.
