Puimuri Designs

I'd stick with Puimuri, sure you have some complaints but maybe your putting to much attention of the meaning of the word rather than it being just a word.

Look at Google, Yahoo, Amazon, Paypal, Babblefish, Mozilla, Bugzilla, Opera ... do those words mean anything, if so are they actually related to the content of the site?

IMO step away from the meaning of the word.
If you get to hung up on a meaning and your site, style doesn't reflect that then you're doing yourself an injustice.

Also your reasoning of the word (its to old) is one sided, you could also look at it like; "combine new with old", "combine print with web", "combine your stuff with my skills" ...

I would suggest: olympos.

I remember last year when I was trying to find a name for my web development & management company. I settled with Websilk Concepts, Inc. (http://www.websilk.ca)

"Revontuli." Too ugly word to use in Finnish. Here in Helsinki we don't see them but in Lappland they are very common. Here are the biggest advertising agencies in Finland:

SEK & Grey,
PHS-ryhmä,
Taivas-ryhmä,
Evia Helsinki,
Hasan & Partners,
Grey Direct,
Lowe Group Finland,
Publicis Helsinki,
McCann
Imageneering

See? Only Taivas (sky) is genuinely Finnish name. For some reason many many agencies here use English names, I guess it's "cool". I'm sure they all can't be wrong so why make a difference?

Puimuri (combine) was actually very original and also Finnish name but I'm afraid it's a bit too original. People doesn't expect adverticing agency to have such name.

-Teemu

PS. After couple of moments of thinking I realized what is a biggest problem with Puimuri: combine is way too old invention. We use it still everywhere but it is invented about 100 years ago and have evolved very slowly. Www is a bit more than 10 years old and evolving extremely fast. That's why Puimuri is not good name for my company. That's my humble opinion, other people have found also other faults on that name. :csaw:

I think you should do something that would be meaningful to your culture. I don't know, maybe there's something that makes sense in Finland but wouldn't to others. Which is where we can't help you. I agree that you need something unique. "Zenith" isn't it, nor are the other spacey ideas you have on the list up there. Northern Lights might work - do you see those a lot in Finland? I'm guessing yes. What is "Northern Lights" in Finnish?

Yep, loads of companies overseas but not in Finland. Right now I'm not planning new marketing regions. Only real problem is that when one put my name to Google there are several alternatives.

I think that's a bad idea... there are already loads of companies by that name:

See: here for proof!

In fact... there is already a company using that exact name at: zenithmedia.co.uk - probably not a good idea to use it as well... could be confusing for your customers.

Nice name though heres what it means:

The point on the celestial sphere that is directly above the observer.
The upper region of the sky.
The highest point above the observer's horizon attained by a celestial body.
The point of culmination; the peak: the zenith of her career.
