I like the way the design changes from the front page to the interior pages. That's one of my favourite aspects of this design. It works well because it the look and feel is the same, so there can't be any confusion. It's just a slightly different layout. Actually, you could try going further with that by pushing the wite part further down and mirroring the brown top part along the bottom as well. That could be striking.

About the fonts, what would happen if the background font was used for the foreground letters? Is it too fancy to be readable?

I would keep the brown banner on all pages, and keep the menu in one place. Although it is clear where it is on the other pages, I think that keeping it all the same would be more uniform.

Thanks for the feedback. I had intended to do some reviews but the door bell rang at the critical moment.

I used that font in the background because it looked more elegant, the other font was just too chunky.
The scrolling problem was caused by an open div tag.

The absence of the top brown border (seen on the index page) seems to take something away from the other pages.

Do you plan to update the page titles?

Light-hearted commentary:
There is a "Boycott France" movement gaining steam over here. If I was doing this web site stateside, I would have to replace the term "French" with "European"

I think it looks great but one thing keeps bothering me and its your location info it seems out of place down there at the bottom. I would suggest putting it to the right of the 3rd image in the middle.

I usually don't review sites before people do their three reviews but I'm going to make an exception in this case. Why? Because I think this is really well done and we rarely see quality sites like this around here. The front page design is very good, very inventive and interesting looking. And most of all, very appropriate.

A couple of things:

The font of the logo text doesn't match the font of the big background letters (which I really like, BTW). I think they should match, if possible.
Navbar could use a little work. GOing simple is the right idea but I think they would look better with a little more padding.
Page titles need to be expanded. THey all just say "home". Put the business name, page title, and some keywords in there. Titles are really important for search engines.
The catalogue doesn't scroll all the way down in my browser (Opera 7.5). This is strange. I've never seen that happen before.
Drop shadows on catalogue photos should be removed. You want to show of the piece here and the shadow is getting in the way.
Page needs a footer (a simple line with a copyright statement and maybe set of text links would be fine).

Good site, though. You've done a great job creating an appropriate look and feel.

P.S. Try using CSS for layout. You will love it! This is a simple example to start with too.
