With 3-D, more is better. High clock speed and a good graphics card really help but I have used Blender with my 633MHz slug and you can still play around. It just goes a lot slower. With the Maya student version you need Windows XP, Blender doesn't care.

How do you attatch a image like a .jpg at your site? I would like to post some of my son's art and I can't figure it out.

This is where my son is doing his training right now.

If you go to Pixar, Lucas Art and the like they will give a list of Schools that they recognize (but won't recommend). They all say that they don't care what school you've gone too, they will evaluate you on your work. You can get an internship with most of these places. Even though the tutors are available with most of these programs including Blender you will find things really tough going. Without some kind of intro. course or one on one you can get very frustrated and just plain lost.

Actually Gazal you can get a free version of Maya at their site. You can't publish with it but it is a full operational version. The students at the college use it. Blender puts out a free ware 3-D and it's not bad. I find these programs very challenging and I think you need some one on one to get going. I made a cool 3-D castle but I couldn't figure out how to put texture on the forms, besides music software sucks up most of my time and now I'm hooked on trying to make web pages that don't suck.

Oh that's great DMC i was going to learn Maya once. Anyway that software costs an arm and a leg.

He's studying Classical Animation and will be moving into Computer Animation (Maya) next. He does all kinds of stuff from oil to pencil.

Hi Gazal. Different is good. My son is a animator maybe I'll get him to post some of his stuff. It's really different! Hey if you want some easy fodder for your review project have a look at mine. It will only take you seconds to rip big chunks out of it like a Great White. My site is totally amateur. I'm going to have another look at yours. Your from Oz right? My folks lived on Bribey Island near Brisbane for a while. Guday.
