No, it's a known issue. To install themes, save the .jar file locally, and go to http://texturizer.net/firefox/themes to use the "Install other themes" form. Basically it runs a native Javascript command that installs the theme. I believe it's a makeshift solution...

Edit: they've fixed the links on update.mozilla.org to install directly now.

I downloaded it...everything works fine, except it won't install themes. I click "install now" and it does nothing (even after reboot-browser), I click download now and then self install, does nothing.

Weird.

Well, it seems like I have a bit of downloading tonight. Can't wit for version 1.0 Should be out end of this year or mid next year

Finally got it. What can I say? First, this thing is fast! I've got too used to the slow response of 0.8/Linux, and I'm glad they finally properly addressed the issue. It's also faster to use... I can't put my finger on it, but for some reason it's generally easier to handle. The UI is less cluttered, extensions and themes are accessible in two clicks, and the Preferences (not Options anymore) window is simplified. The new theme isn't entirely impressive, but, thankfully, they've fixed some interface problems that were present at least on the Linux build regarding menus. What else? Did I mention it's faster?

The installer was especially of interest. It was a breeze to use, and I liked the fact that it imports previous settings. This is only a first for the Linux build -- Windows users should be used to it. One notable "feature" in the Linux installer is the first screen which advises users to "exit all Windows programs" before proceeding.

Other peripheral changes include update.mozilla.org, which I'm just figuring out, and alterations to the Firefox product page.

So far, I'm one happy camper.
