Yep, know what you mean. Let me ask a question... were the images taken with a newer model or an advanced digital camera? I'm trying to see if that has something to do with it. My images had been taken by an underwater digital camera by a professional photographer... not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Anyway, as for a resolution... the only one I came up with was (if you can see the images on your computer) take a screenshot of them then save the screenshot. I know it's a heck of a lot of extra work, but that was the only way I could get the images to show. And believe me, I tried just about everything I could think of and I'm no newbie to web design either. I searched everywhere and came across a handful of others with the same problem, but still no solution. If you do find a way to remedy this, please post it. Oh and let me know if the images were taken with an upper-scale digital camera.

Your links in your post come up as 404's, but I looked at your site and I can see everything just fine.

I had a similar issues once and I had to leave a host becuase it *was* the server, and it was happening to a lot of people. Does your host have support forums so you could maybe see if this might be happening to other people using the same host?

Also, someone on another forum recently reported that he himself was having problems with IE6 on a new WinXP machine, other people see his images fine, but he has images missing with his own browser.

same problem

Were you ever able to resolve this issue? I am having the same problem. The images load up on every other browser on botht the mac and PC, just ie6 is not displaying the images.

The stickler is that this problem is not consistent. For example, there are 5 images. When i initially load up the page only one image displays, the other are just plain whote blanks... not red "x" (if i right click where the image should be i can select the option to "load image" and ie6 will display it.

If i click refresh, then a different image appears, if i click refresh again, two other images appear. Click refresh again and 3 out of 5 iamges appear. Click again and 1 out of 5 appear... totaly random, totally inconsistant. I've tried preloading the images with javascript, that didn't work.

Miffed.

Thanks busy for the suggestion.

Well, i tried just opening the images i had already edited and doing a Save As in MS Paint... that didn't work.

I finally came up with the idea to just do screen shots of each individual pic (because I can see them). I did the screenshots in PSP then saved as a standard jpg... and OMG that worked.

I know it doesn't fix the problem, but it is a work around and i don't have to go back and re-edit all of the images.

So if anybody else ever has this problem and you're one of the computers that CAN view the images, just do screenshots, cause hell, i have tried everything else, lol. If you can't view the images... well, you're up the brown creek without a paddle dude, lol.

Thanks to everybody for helping!

try Irfanview (free image editor/viewer from irfanview.com) you only have to open one image and you can use the arrows to go thru your folders contents, use the hot keys to do whatever you need (less mouse work). lots of great features on this tiny program.

Ok, tried this:

I opened the original image back up in PSP 8 and saved it as a progressive jpg... that worked.

Now I'm going to try to see if i can open the images that i had already edited (a LOT of pain staking work colorzing, sizing, contrasting etc on 120 different images) in ms paint and just try to re-save them... hoping the ms paint format will somehow override whatever PSP is saving behind the image file cause i'd really rather not have progressive format on 120x90 pics.... but if that doesn't work, i'll just do all the darn things progressive.

Will let ya know what works! Thanks Hector!!

OOOKKKK... hector thanks again for brain storming on this...

I opened the images in MS Paint and did a save as... inserted them into a blank page -- she COULD view them and even after refreshing multiple times! Woo Hoo!

I also opened up my original page (with all the coding, style sheet attached, everything) and just inserted some other images that I had used in a previous site -- she was able to view those also.

So, it's not the coding and it's more than likely something to do with those images... good idea hector.

I know I'm asking for a lot here, but:

Please open the images in a vanilla imaging app, like the one that ships with Windows, or something like PhotoImpact, preferably something old!
Do a save as on each one and try your experiment again. I'm NOT convinced it's not the images!

Thanks

Thanks for the reply hector.... LOL, well, i just thought i was on the right path... boy was i happy there for about 5 minutes!

Ok, my mom just refreshed (with the css removed) and the freakin pics DISAPPEARED!! Now this was the FIRST time she was ever able to see all of the images, so it couldn't have been a cache thing showing the images.

So she was able to view the images in a blank page (for the first time).

I attached the style sheet and made no other changes to the code -- she couldn't see the images.

I created ANOTHER blank page and just inserted the images just like i did the first time (when she WAS able to view them) and then she COULDN'T see the images.

I'm going insane here and have a deadline by tomorrow night!! UHHHHHH

LOL, do't worry, I'll definitely post the resolution IF i ever figure it out!!

I love being the pioneer for a problem, lol
