Firstly, I'll admit I've never used NetObjects Fusion, and I'm not saying anything about it. Allow me to raise a couple of points regarding the broader process of web design, in response to WebMember.

Ease of use of the building tool is independent of the quality of code produced. You could slave away lengthily in Notepad to end up with the same code as something perhaps Dreamweaver might give you in a few clicks.

How do you measure efficiency? If the final product fails to work properly with regards to cross-compatibility, accessibility, and usability, do you think it is likely to meet a well thought-out set of goals? I wouldn't think so. The work you put in yields poor output -- that would be inefficient.

I disagree...NetObjects Fusion is the BEST when it comes to overall ease of use and effeciency. I'm not sure how it works with MAC, but it is VERY reliable for the price. I highly recommend NetObjects Fusion...and you should certainly check it out at http://www.netobjects.com

NetObjects Fusion creates some horrific code, no where near a standard.

I'm not sure where everyone got this idea that Macs are hard to code for -- most of the browsers that run on a Mac run on a PC in the same way and render almost identically (IE5/Mac being a notable exception).

Use standards, test your sites, use sensible markup and separate your presentation from your structure and you'll be 99% of the way there.
