There are ways that you can use google to retrieve mail at your domain, you have to be able to change the cname and mx records to forward the mail to their servers. I use this as it was easy to set up and I don't have to worry too much about it.

If you use this you also get google calendar, docs, sites, and pages.

Thanks for your suggestions. I have spoken to IT and they have been less than helpful.

I want a remote pop3 solution that will allow me to load up emails on the server. Store sent items, keep address's etc. Mail2web is ok in emergencies but doesn't have the features I need. Yahoo loads up the emails ok but you can only send from your Yahoo address.

Any ideas on how I set up Squirrel mail so that it won't be a problem viewing it through an office firewall?

a remote solution would be to use a site like mail2web.com - they allow you to access your POP3 mail accounts and send out mail as per your needs.

Otherwise have a look on hotscripts.com for webmail solutions that may aid you.

What do you have? Normally IMAP is the solution (SquirrelMail) but there is also Neomail on Cpanel, and you can set up the addresses as POP3? Seems like you are well covered with the existing solutions, perhaps you need to set them up differently or talk to your IT guy about allowing access through the firewall? The Webmail solutions are like browsing, and use a port on your hosted server, not through the firewall?

Personally I'd advise that you use POP3 and leave the mail on the server if you can't use IMAP.
