However you do it you are going to get into trouble with the search engines, they don't like doorway pages at all. not only will they not list the doorway page but some of them will not list or even remove the page that it links too.

However if you are still going to ignore the "why bother - wheres the advantages?" advice that everyone has given you, abc.com - xyz.com will give you a better result and will add as a link inwards adding to your pr.

Just make sure your doorway page actually contains some decent content, maybe you'll get away with it.

Right, i was just reading something on doorways and had this question. I've never had the need to use doorways, so I had a couple questions about them.

Doorways are generally a Very Bad Idea. If you have something to say, say it. Don't lead users or search engines on goofy Alice in Wonderland trips to get to it.

To me a portal is a gathering of links that lead to other places on the site or other sites.
