Thanks for the replies, I am working on making some of the changes that were suggested. I can't believe how long I have spent trying to sort the header section out. Just can't quite come up with something I like!!! I am also hunting round for some photos I've got quite a stock from a previous site I designed so they should be appearing soon!!

I like the layout and think it has a real knowledge based/ tutorial feel to it (the information is coming across well) which is really good but feel this isn't the look/feel you need.
First sentence of your site "... when buying a home in Spain." So your target audience is people outside of Spain? (I could have this all wrong, wouldnt be the first time ) so think you should make the site more touristy, not only sell houses, but sell the country. Like the 'Locations in Spain' but as mentioned add some more photos and maybe add a few stats, mention famous people, happenings, markets, parties, lifestyles or whatever. But keep it middle of the road, not all young people partying hard or will scare away the older buyer, not all older people as you'll scare away the younger buyers, not all familys as it'll scare away the holiday makers, not all holiday makers ...

To me a 'home' is different to a house, a home has your personal touch, a house has walls and a roof you live under.

Great loooking site, but I must agree with Webmistress, it seems as though it lacks a little life. I think more images on some of your inner pages would do just fine , i.e. "Locations in Spain" pages, these would seriously benefit from a few images of the areas you are talking about. It is also a good idea to use images from a business point of view because you want your patrons to SEE what you are offering - and this being Spain, I'm sure these places are beautiful. Remeber, pictures often speak louder than words.

I like it. But it does look "flimsy" For the header, to the right of the logo, I would but a picture of a spanish city. It might help it look beefyer

Thanks for that I can see what you mean. I am considering changing the logo so instead of the orange background it has some kind of cut-out picture. Also maybe adding a little graphic to the top of each page to add a bit of variety. Do you think that might start to make it a bit less flimsy? I will be trying to add more content as it moves along too.

Welcome to TWF and thanks for reviewing some of the others site

I like the layout/design, background & colour but can't help thinking that it is lacking something! Maybe it's the lack of photos on the site that makes it seem a bit, I don't know, flimsy (for want of a better description!). Maybe it could do with another colour added in to spice it up. Maybe now I'm thinking about it the colour doesn't really make me think of Spain.

I have actually been looking at lots of spanish sites recently getting ideas for my new house which has a Spanish feel to it and we are doing a Spanish/Mediterranean courtyard garden.

In some ways I do like the simplicity of the site but on the other hand I really feel that it should have more impact somehow!

That probably hasn't helped you very much
