hello ppl..
i had a long chat with my webhosts and he explained to me how it works.. i miss read the logs and completely miss understood it..

my cpanel provides webanalizer which trax the sats. (creates stats out of the logs i think)

Heh, if the raw logs are inaccurate, you won't have any hope at all in getting accurate 3rd party stats as your server is reporting things wrong. It's more likely for a 3rd party stats application to be inaccurate because the method of collection is prone to failure.

yea i know this... uum i have a very cool control panrl (cpanel) that has web/ftp stats and access to the RAW logs.. but the stats are sometiems very confusing and not accurate..

i will try sum of the abobe free counters with my logs...

Most web hosts do allow for raw log access. But dont forget to get log reading software. For just basic counts try statcounter.com. They also have other stats included and can run in the background of your site.

I agree with Suzanne, ask your host if they can let you have access to the raw logs and then run the stats from there as you'll get more detailed info and it'll be more helpful to you, plus you don't have to have anything on the page the viewer will see.

If you have PHP on your server, you can use the counter which I made. It is more or less a raw file logging to an external .txt file.
