The best way to search is to keep the query specific - this returns the most relevant results whilst keeping the spammers away

I did make a Word 97 Tutorial a while ago, its not 2000 but should give a basic idea.

To be honest, I haven't tried to find them. Usually for software applications I try the manufacturer's help files and websites first. It's been years since I used Word for anything other than opening client files, but I do recall vaguely that there is specific help in the help files for inserting a field.

While it seems antithetical to the purpose of the web, you may find better reference in a Dummies book or other reference manual designed to fill the knowledge gap the software leaves in their own help files.

Sorry Suzanne I'd already tried that and what seem promising links initially turn out to be nothing more than a mix of very limited, basic tutorials or adverts to join up for online premium courses.

What I really meant was help sites.
Does anyone have personal recommendations for MS Word (specifically Word 2000) Help Sites please?
The likes of Paintshop Pro, Dreamweaver etc. seem to be very well catered in terms of the number of help/tip/assistance sites serving them but I can't find anything equivalent (certainly not definitive) for Word (specifically Word 2000).

My knowledge is intermediate level but I'm trying to read up on Inserting a Field specifically.
