From what i understand you want a burning software and not a backup software. Here is the difference.

- backup software can usually be setup to automaticly start at certain times and backup a listing of predetermined files or folders.
- backup software can also check for files that didn't change since the last backup and depending on how it's configured will drop them or not

- burning software is a manual operation of putting your files on a cd or dvd

try a search on toast for the later.

???

I am not backing anything up right now
Will dragging and dropping work in Jaguar like it will in Panther?

How do I burn files to a CD? Remember: I'm a Mac newbie. All I've burned have been music CDs through iTunes and a few DVDs through iDVD

I'll look into retrospect...

There are Backup applications like Retrospect that can do the job.

If your just talking about specific files then I would suggest doing as your doing just Burn them to CD.
