Chris, welcome to WMF.

An explanation of the reason behind this might help us. I would assume that it is because the domain name doesn't match what is in the address bar. The only possible thing that you could do would be to have a javascript window popup minus the address bar. This would be a very inelegant solution and would cause problems with popup blockers.

This is like "I want people to call me, but not know my phone number".

I'm trying to think of a reason why you want this, possibly that you don't want people to know what server you are on, that you use a free server, or something similar.

About the nearest thing I think you will find is a service somewhere that will pass all your data out for you showing their URL, which again, leads back to Webmistress's question of WHY?

Another reason comes to mind as to why you may want this, you have "www.domainname.com" and when they click on links, you don't want them to see the path to the file they are viewing. (domainname.com/path/file.html) If this is the case, you could make your home page be an 100% frame, so that all links are opened in the "frame" and not changing the address bar. Note however, that this does very VERY little at hiding it, anyone who really wants to know would know how to get it. It's like locking out Right click's on a webpage, the only ones it stops are those who would be no concern about them having the info anyhow.

-Greg
