i'm not an expert in this field so i cannot comment on the usefulness of the links on where they are placed. It's very true that there is a lot of "white" all over the place. I liked the bullets you used. I looks like a forum, if i didn't know better, i wouldn't have known the nature of the site. You know what, it reminds me of bravenet's website (in color, i mean). http://www.bravenet.com/

Its seemed a little bland an color-shy to me. I would have a some more color, art, and better use of white space. Its seems to all run together; nothing really pulls you to it and makes you want to look further. The Marketplace frame is squished up against the main frame a bit too close. You could make this way better with some reorganization. Chin up!

I agree it does look boring. If you look at many webhosting companies you will see that they are full of images (stock photography) and color. Your site is very dull and lacks color except for the logo.

Here are some examples:
http://www.globat.com/
http://www.byzhosting.com/
http://www.fortunecity.com/

I know some of these may be professionally designed and coded websites meaning you may not be able to get something that looks like the examples above but there are many things you can take from each of these examples.

I agree with Andy--too much clipart, not enough color. Making the background white would instantly liven it up. Maybe you could put the headings across the page instead of down it, and dedicate more space to the descriptions of the postings/articles so you can increase the font size.

Also, your link styles are inconsistent. My biggest pet peeve in web design is non-underlined text links (and underlined non-links). You've applied different classes to the post links than to the article links and request links.

Also, the color of the scrollbar makes it hard to see because it blends in almost seemlessly with the background on my monitor.

Its a bit on the dull side isnt it? Why not spice it up a bit and get away from the square boring look. Maybe some stock photography or something could help...

So you're launching your site and NOW you want a critique? Isn't that kind of backwards?
