One thing I have noticed is that I don't think mozilla supports all CSS, am I correct? It does most but sometimes I can see things properly in IE6 and not in mozilla and its the css settings that are whats off.

Least compliant at the moment is easy -- IE.

Opera, Safari, Mozilla all have better support for CSS properties (and HTML/XHTML) and standardized ECMA Scripting.

You can't really scale it, because it all depends on what level of CSS your using, even then a scale would be guess work.
You could say 100% CSS but there is more than one way to skin a cat.
If you stick with mild CSS it's pretty well portable, some workarounds may still be needed thou

Thanks.

I was more wondering like on a scale of 1-10 maybe opera is 9.5 etc.

Maybe it would be simpler to ask which are the least compliant?

There will never be a 100% compliant browser, heck HTML isn't even fully supported yet and we're onto XHTML already.
As mentioned work with the standards but remember just because it's valid doesn't mean it will work across the board.

bring back NS4 hehe

Megan, Suzanne,

Hey what about my question?

How compliant are the browsers I listed?

Megan,

That's good to know about Opera. I'm not so worried about compliant browsers as noncompliant. iExp of corse. I do try to check my code at several online code checkers. It's not like I'm lax.

I figure if you are using an unusual browser and it's noncompliant then to heck with it. iExp is bad enough.

Suzanne

I've stopped worrying about Nets 4 on OS9 because so many other sites have abandoned it. I actually used to be a big fan of Nets 4 for my own personal reasons but it's just outmoded now. My clients have more people on Linux/Mozilla than OS9/Nets 4.

Like I said enough is enough. I'm not charging the big bucks yet. For what I charge my clients get a very good deal compared to what I've seen.

Corded Poodle, too new to work right?! Nay. There are minor discrepancies, primarily with JavaScript and hacks. Also, OS9 still has Netscape 4.x running on it.

As Megan said -- start with standards and you'll have far less grief.
