The idea seem cool, but the header needs some improvements like the guys just mentioned, the text, gradient and bevel have to be slightly touched...

I'll agree it's a good start, but I have a few nit-picky things.

First, like Megan said, show off your icon and get the font out of the way. Move it right or shrink it down.

I don't like the watermark text. You can't read it, so why have it? I say loose it alltogether.

Your gradient does not seem smooth enough, try to blend it more.

Megan already mentioned the fuzziness.

Looks good! Have you tried moving the text more into the grey space beside the icon? I'm not sure that would be the best idea but may be worth a try. The other thing is that the edges of the graphic look a little fuzzier than they should be. Try to sharpen those up a bit.

Otherwise a great job! I don't know why you say you're not all that great at graphics!
