you could do what your doing without tables (just CSS) and not use the applets.
do a search on google and in here for CSS should give you lots of pointers

Everyones new to something at some stage, check out http://www.w3.org/ for CSS and (X)HTMl info. There are a number of tutorials availiable, try googling for them.

so i just insert a table and i can put my hover buttons in that, and what do u mean by having the numbers start/end/start/end. I never really understood CSS, could you explain it to me. Sorry im new at this.

I don't have java enabled on any browser so all I see is the very wide banner and teams list, so I'm probably not going to be much help.

looking at your code I'd say its your postioning, try adjust all the left and top postioning bits so the numbers start/end/start/end, if you can, add a border to the applets while making it (same as tables) this way you'll see where things are.

People disable java, and it can be slow to load for modem users, can you not use CSS? or plain images?

sorry guys, im still a little lost can someone direct me with detailed instructions on how to get my hover buttons to be all lined up on the left like a menu bar, and have my banner straight across the top. Thanks.

Yeah, Busy's right, its frontpages coding - its everywhere :S

Is there really a need for that kind of navigation? You can achieve the same thing with CSS and HTML or even Images. Not everyone has the Java applet installed on their system.

use another editor (try dreamweaver or something)
are you using layers?

can we see a URL (page),
Frontpage is known for it's bad coding and if I remember rightly uses percentage td cells, or was it fixed on a percentage table width. can't remember but a link would be helpful
