What you could have is a sitemap page and list all the links to the different pages. That way, the page is only two clicks away.

Nothing happens when I click on those links. And I tested it in IE so I can see what's supposed to happen. I see the script is passing variables based on different browser versions so that could be a problem. I still think that you should try to do without this sort of drop-down. Many big and complex sites seem to get along fine without this sort of system. But it's up to you

What i'm going to do, is use the menu system that i have now, riponcollege.co.uk the main menu on the left. And also i'm creating a text only site so, if the menu dont work then user can use the text only. Do you think that will be ok?

I have only just uploaded my new menu. I did part of it to see how it will look. May be you saw it was it was not fully working. Could you check again.

Thanks for your help

It doesn't work in my browser (Opera 7), nor does the original java one you were using. There are some out there that are truly compatible I'm just not sure where you find them.

I'm already having problems, so i'm going to scrap that idea. I will find a way...
I have found a text folding tree which is ok. But i'm not tranfring all the site just yet.

What do you think of it. Its just the two link on the top right. When i change all i will change the banner at the top aswell.

riponcollege.co.uk/index2.htm

thanks

I'm moving this to site tools as you may get better responses here.

I haven't attempted to use a system like this in years but IME it is really difficult to find one that is not only suitable for your needs but sufficiently cross-browser compatible. To add to that, I can tell you from experience that these things are a big pain in the you-know-what to work with. More trouble than they're worth IMO. I would rethink the navigation scheme.

In any case, Java applets are a bad idea for this or any other solution IMO. Try to find something that runs with dHTML if you're going to go this route.
