Thank you for the reply.

So the "summary" in the center doesn't appear blue? Did I blotch up my code or something?

h2
{
font-family: arial, verdana, helvetica, sans serif;
font-size: 16;
color: #000077;
font-weight: bold;
}

Summary

My question about search engines was basically whether a search engine like google would even index my site, since it is a subdomain of a free host?

I probably shouldn't comment on your site as I have one with the same topic.
I don't see any red and blue headers, I only see grey and white on mozilla firebird. What you have now likes kinda good, has that textbook style/feel which is great for a tutorial site.
A logo can be a text header but a bit of colour or flair always helps.
Your free site hosting wont help your cause any, people would rather visit a domain named site than a free site, as most free sites have advertising of some sort (and cookies galore)

Just a tip on writing tutorials, be sure to teach the proper way, not the short method, ie: images, teach people to use width, height and alt tags because if you don't teach them that way now, when they go to learn XHTML they will struggle with the simple things, some even struggle using lowercase tag names.

Good luck
