there's a script called something like PHP Reality. it allows you to list properties with pictures and update those through web-interface.
you really should only know the basics of PHP for that (and i'm sure it has detailed instructions)

I like the look and feel of the site, makes it feel very sunny although I don't like the bevel on the photo.

Most of these types of sites will pull the property info from a database as it's quick to upload the info and easier to perform searches etc. I have no idea either where to start with this type of site but put a posting in the scripting section and you'll get loads of ideas.
