Fixed width is the new liquid design. An emphasis on typographical sensibilities instead of pure real estate. However, I would have preferred a LARGER fixed with. so less scrolling. Since the audience is web developers, and we typically have larger displays, moving to a slightly larger fixed width would have been a better choice, I think.

I don't know why but I was expecting something more radical. Must be my interpretation of the abilities of the folks over at ALA. I too would prefer a liquid design than the fixed width one.

The CSS navigation is interesting, but I find it YAH (yet another hack) that would be better solved (in the future, granted) by better CSS options or SVA. You can read that (accurately!) as "Suzanne hates all the extra work involved", heh.

I'm pleased to see a more bloglike format, but I'd like to be able to access the comments directly.

And I think the logo looks like we're being given the finger, ha ha!

Seriously, glad its back and producing some quality articles!
