I was tempted to put this in the critique section, but didn't think the site is complete enough - notably the complete lack of content.

At this stage I am checking the code, layout and browser compatibility; Obviously any other comments are appreciated - I will make some changes this evening.

In particular I didn't wish to annoy the Webmistress - I can imagine your post reading: "There's nothing to critique."

I don't like the colours, they clash big time IMO but maybe that's the look you are after! I agree with Suzanne that the circle needs to be consistant with & without the images and also when the images appear on some of them you can still see a touch of green on the inside white part.

Well, the only thing that really stands out is the line that goes through the circle looks out of place because it's gone when you mouseover a link. Also, the mouseover change is too far away from the thing that you're mousing over, so the connection is a bit too tenuous. Perhaps move the menu left a bit to connect them better?

Other than that, no, I don't see anything glitchy in the JavaScript, just another way of doing the same thing.

Oh, sorry Suzanne...Being blonde (I don't know if it's supposed to count for men - but I still use the excuse) has it's disadvantages

Even though it's only a different method will my JavaScript have any side-effects/compatibility issues in the myriad browsers available?

Any other problems/potential issues?
Anything - apart from the JavaScript - you just don't like?

Seems like the spans could be in the tag, or a regular tag if you wanted to control it further.

An array in JavaScript IS a pre-loader. It's the same thing, really, different method.

The spans...You have a point, probably just an attack of the bloat, and my love of making things much more complicated than they need to be

I quite like the multiple images, it just seems elegant. If this was done with an array, wouldn't it require some form of image pre-loader?

Hrmmmm. Well, you haven't been rude to me, lol, but I'm wondering about your choice for JavaScript and multiple DIVS for the image. I guess I'd be more inclined to setting an array and just image swapping. Not that that's better, just a different choice.

What are the classless idless spans in the #postscript for?
