&lt;p&gt;2. the only way to prevent abuse is to make it worth someone&#039;s while to protect it, i.e. track user movements, have them login, only offer a section as a preview rather than a timed preview (unless we&#039;re talking software usage, then a timed trial isn&#039;t as useful as a per use trial).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;3. There are Java solutions that require a plugin, but unless the photos are of naked or dead people (to paraphrase Vincent Flanders), people won&#039;t use it and to be honest, I can&#039;t remember what it&#039;s called.&lt;/p&gt;
