Well, mine is version 7.

Mine has the ability to:
Restore a Home Backup
Restore an SQL DB
Restore an Alias/Filter Backup

And

Download Today's Home Backup
Download a SQL Database Backup
Download Alias/Filter Backup

If you need an SQL backup, check your phpMyAdmin, which cpanel6 should include. I believe you can download zip backups from there.

I suggest you check here often when you are curious about Cpanel:

http://forums.cpanel.net

It is a pretty large group of users

HTH.

Vesion 6.

It says I can make a "Full Backup" (which won't work anyway) or a "Home Backup" but it doesn't explain what the difference is or whether either includes mySQL databases within the backups. cPanel docs aren't much help either. I can download a SQL DB Backup separately so I did just incase it wasn't automaticly included in the "home backup". It also lets you backup Alias/Filter but I don't know what that means to me anyway. No mention of backing up email settings.

What version Cpanel are you using? The version I admin has it so you can download a backup of your site, your database, and your email settings. Did you see all three?

I would always recommend backing up the database separately. I don't know about the auto-backup, it may just make a mirror of the site.
