    <description> &lt;p&gt;It is a bit sad in a way. China has their own version of Linux &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.redflag-linux.com/eindex.html&quot; class=&quot;bb-url&quot;&gt;Red Flag Linux&lt;/a&gt; while the US government tends towards Windows. Don&#039;t know if that bodes well for the future. Interesting also in the article, they only certified one distro SUSE, since that was the one that was tested. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Some distros like Redhat and MDK make for an easy install but tend to open up a lot of security holes by default by having unneeded ports open and services running. One of the reasons that I prefer Slack, since it is pretty secure out of the box.&lt;/p&gt;
