Essentially the examples show use centered design.

Thermal mapping of weblogs uses the concept of hot and cold to telegraph (preemptively hint), instead of having a calendar you must blindly click on hoping to get lucky. Other applications: forum threads, catalogs.

Ideas could include how to show side-by-side comparisons of products. Or any one of hundreds of ideas for basic web goodness.

No, I wasn't questioning your interest, just curious really I can't think of anything right now but I'll see what I can come up with. I known there have been times in the past when I haven't been able to find what I was looking for

Certainly, if I can determine some interest in an idea, I would like to develop it in some form. Ideally, five or ten people would also think it interesting enough to, say, combine a couple of different ideas. Or to take differing perspectives on an idea and create two, or three different interpretations of the same idea.

As to the larger "reason why," compare what is to my examples. Quite frankly, I don't see why I should be the only one interested.

May I ask why you're looking for these ideas? Are you interested in developing them further or what?
