    <description> &lt;p&gt;You may have issues with much older browsers only. The currently popular browsers (all 98% or so of them) work fine with what you have. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;However, some browsers will collapse columns if they are empty, since tables are for data, not design, so make sure you&#039;re using the tables well, and need to have all the columns and rows that you have.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;1, Use CSS&lt;br /&gt;
2, Don&#039;t use the transparent GIF, it&#039;s not really recommended&lt;br /&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;should, but I always add 100%  to the blank one and normally insert an image over 500 wide, or a transparent gif image and make it 500 wide to ensure the table will not collapse in upon the side I want fixed.&lt;/p&gt;
