It was actually something on my registrars end. There servers were actually locking the domain for some reason, preventing it from propogating. Just took me doing all the level 1 tech support crap for them to move it to level 2 where then a real person looks at the files on there systems. Low and behold there was a problem there....

Sometimes the business "design" of tech support really just drops the ball. But Business is a game of numbers if you have a 85% success rate with it, versus 60% with just letting humans do it as they please guess you always go with the systematic approach.

When will life afford us humans the ability to do things 95% perfect or more....

Also, most registrars do not allow transfers within a certain amount of days to expiry or when the domain has expired.

Can you confirm with the registrar that the domain is active?

I use a better method.

called nslookup. It is windows 2k, XP, linux, and unix.

It allows you specifiy the domain, and a nameserver to use.

It will then query that nameserver for what it shows in its record.

So far everyone I have tried. From AT&T to Mindspring has come up non-existant.

This happened to me before. Since there are DNS caching at multiple nodes on the net, you can have severe delay if some nodes do not update properly. Try accessing your domain from other locations than the one you normally use -- try a library.

You can also try accessing your domain through other services, like http://www.anonymizer.com/

Translation services site may also work because you are changing your route on the internet to get to your domain, i.e., different DNS server.
