You need to get rid of the pop-ups, probably by getting a decent hosting company...It doesn't cost that much and you get so much more than free hosts offer.

Right, it's not very original at all. When I first looked at this I had to wonder what was the point. You seem to have forums on a wide range of topics. The design is also way too generic, and it feels really slow to me.

one thing that i dont like about your site is the ads. I dont know why people these days still use geocities, tripod, etc etc when there are great free hosts like breezeland.com . Now onto the site. The first impression about the site, is that it looks a lot like the Apple official site, with the aqua tabs and all. Second, i think your site lack a banner/logo on the top, instead of just using text. Otherwise, your forum site is not too bad.

I think you need a lot of work on this. Your site basically needs everything - logo, graphics, navigation. It needs a design! Look around at what other sites are doing to get some ideas or to get up to speed quickly try looking for premade templates. You can get them for free or cheap, and it'll give you an inside look on how a site is designed while giving you an instant professional look.
