And to continue my rant:

Quote: Quoted from Scott here:

http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=73163
when you have finished, use the tools provided in vBulletin 3 to add a table prefix to your vBulletin tables

If vB3 will support prefixed tables, then why won't the installer prompt for a table prefix? They're asking people to break other working scripts temporarily just to install vB. Where is the professionalism here?

BTW, vB3 is due for release within the next 22.5 hours.

The forums are buggy in a few areas. Another I know of is the Avatar. I remember someone else asking about the email notification, but I've not investigated any further.

I've been putting off fixing things, as I had hoped to get the site upgraded to vB3 by now.

Anyone else read about the "imminent public beta release" Kier mentioned here on May 12th, 2003?

I'm currently administering four vBulletin forums (2 are very inactive). All four forums have been waiting without upgrades for months in anticipation for this "imminent" release. Quite franky, while vB2 was a great product, I am very unsatisfied with Jelsoft as a business and their customer relations.

I got a reply to this one. But others have been mixed. I know about not getting subsequent replies until you visit but one of my posts never sent me any replies and then I found out that people did reply. It doesn't seem to happen all the time but it's happened to me 3 or 4 times in the past few weeks. Hmmm.

Well, I've posted a few messages now where I had the email notification marked. As it states in the message, you will receive no further notifications unless you view the thread. So one notice, then nothing until you essentially reset the flag by visiting the thread.

In my experience, if I reply, I always get notification of new messages.
