    <description> &lt;p&gt;JavaScript isn&#039;t going to help you as it can&#039;t talk to the server. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What you can do if you&#039;re going to use FTP is have a script running at a specific time that reads the names of all the files in various directories and compares it to a list (in a db or otherwise), then sends an email if there is a change.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Quite seriously, with files that size, you should more likely get to know your courier company. You can have the smaller files controlled through a web interface, then courier the final product, produced at your end.&lt;/p&gt;
