I'm thinking that this site is really crying for some more colour. So much white! I'm thinking that you could try doing a red margin around the entire page or something like that..... or maybe a coloured background on the navbar which is really plain as well (like you did on the cool tools site)

About the photos page, the pop-ups have a little scrolling in Opera 7. I don't really have many suggestions for the layout here, except maybe to reduce some of the redundant text.

Otherwise there's not much to say. I do like the clip-art you've used at the top. It would be nice if that could intergrate more with the logo text. They seem so far apart, especially at higher resolutions.

I like it...Nice and clean, I must agree about the splash page...Bad idea, and makes it harder to get a decent listing on Google.

I'm a bit unsure about the hover colour on the top links, looks a little dirty IMO.

I confuse myslef sometimes

top links are bold and overline on hover
side links are not bold and have underline, only colour changes on hover
bottom links are not bold and have underline, only colour changes on hover

If it still makes no sense just ignore it
I try not to confuse but the voices tell me to

Busy, I don't think I am clear on what you are trying to tell me about the links. Am I doing something wrong? Tell me please! I didn't do the links on the side in bold because it caused the links to take up two lines each (they got bigger). Also, I fixed the side and bottom links so that the underline disappears on hover. Is that more better?

It isn't very likely that anyone outside the US would rent this cabin but I suppose it is possible. What is the standard way to put dollar amounts on a site so that it is understandable internationally? Should it be $200.00 (U.S. Dollars) deposit or something else? I haven't run into this before.

I am a verdana fan myself which I do use on all of my other sites (that you haven't seen yet) . The font used on this site and one other is Trebuchet MS. I am working on a "printer friendly" page now that will use times new and points.

I am not a big fan of splash pages and would rather avoid doing this. The top part does take up a little bit more real estate than I wanted. I guess I could reduce the size of the top right image.?? Not sure. I know that keeping important content above the fold is important but do you all think this is a major problem here? Is it something that I should correct or is this acceptable like it is?

I really like this site ... maybe because of its the beach / vacation look. It's very clean and clear to understand, but grabing with the picture at the top right hand corner.

The photo page looks good ... nothing to worry about there!

Things I would consider changing:
1) The top of the page takes up 1/2 half of the page with the name and picture. I would suggest that if you wished to stay with that sort of look (as I love the pic) I would suggest that you create a splash page whereby you list the major links and keep the pic and title. Then inside I would include the same pic and title information but reduce the size of it down to make it a 1/3 of what it is now. This would bring the entire page up and allow for more content to be seen without scrolling.

2) I am not a fan of the "overlined" effect on the Nav bar. The simple change in colour appears to work nicely.

Overall I am very impressed with the colours and general layout of this site.

nice and simple, not OTT or anything. I've never been a fan of using anything other than Arial or Verdana on a web site, the font that you use seems to be on the majority of your sites, i think it's one of those fonts that look better printed than on web sites.

Also i like the nav at the top, i've never been a fan of the 'overline' effect, but you've made it look good there, nice one

links on the side are same as the bottom, normal (not bold) and underlined, changes colour on hover (green on hover) but stays underlined. Top links just change to green on hover as well but no under/overline on hover

Opera6 (as opera), NS7 and mozilla 1.0 the top links are bold and has overline on hover but side and bottom links are not bold and have underline, even on hover

Busy, what browser are you looking at this on?

The top nav is supossed to have a line above the link on hover. It looked funky with it below the link because of the line that runs across the page under the top nav. I must have my style sheet messed up.

I don't know if that fixed it but now I have a warning on my style sheet. I will have to tackle this monday. I have to work tomorrow.

while on the contact page, and I know you haven't finished the content but is the place on offer to international users? if so you might want to mention it and also price (US dollars) and add an area code (or whatever you call it) or maybe an email address or form for overseas people.
Payment accepted in cash, money order or cash. I take it they want cash huh

I don't think it's plain, I think the photos you have around set it off quite well, after all you are selling the place not the web site
