Maybe you'd be better off having a contact form rather than a mailto so that it doesn't need to use the persons email client at all then.

I have had three people try it out with hotmail as default.. and it all happens to them.. but in other programs.. outlook express, outlook, incredimail.. it works fine... you know of any sites for hotmail scripting?.. I did search.. and only found virus things for them... thanx in advance

hmmm. I don't know, either! so the actual address in the "to:" field has the /start in it. Wacky.

Searches for this error aren't turning up good results because the terms are so common, drat.

Have you tested this yourself?

in regular email programs... the link works fine.. in hotmail the addy comes up as info@utilibizsolutions.com/start

Maybe we need more clarification of the problem -- can you take a screenshot of what's happening? A standard hyperlink doesn't work when hotmail is the default email application, is that it?

Edited to add: While this is probably not causing the problems, you have some inconsistencies in your code that may cause other problems (notably the local stylesheet is not in the element where it belongs). If you're going to use stylesheets, you shouldn't use HTML 3.2 as the DOCTYPE, either.

The bold part is invalid. Have you met http://validator.w3.org/ ?

Also, you may want to encode that email address to prevent it being harvested by spam spiders.
