I have done it also, but with avi's and mov's. This is however, not the first time I've heard of someone not being able to get a screen grab from video.

steveclifford, if only it was that simple - no movie players allow you to capture a frame via the 'print screen' method, it displays a blank area when you try to paste into a paint package.

Hmmmm...I'm not familiar with divx, so I can't really offer any help.

Maybe do a search for something that would allow you to either to a capture or grab a still?

Or maybe look into something that would allow you to convert to a format the IR can read?

Go Google up some searches, maybe you'll find something. Also I'd check download.com to see if any untilities are available.

The difference is whether you need the application or just the frame. If someone needs to show a movie in, say, iMovie, then a screenshot is needed. If they need to show a frame of a movie for another purpose, then they need a still, or a frame of the movie.

Two very different things, since one is the operating system or third party screen capture applications and the other can be a graphics application.

PowerDVD has a capture mode, press 'c' during playback...

Then paste into Photoshop.
