Anyone can put a TM symbol onto logos, etc but it doesn't mean anything and it certainly wont stop other people using the name, unless you do legal register the name!

Have you actually registered the trade mark? Unfortunately unless you buy all permutations of a domain, someone else can still legally get them.

no i did not TM the logo my freind had told i dont have to register TM just to put the tm on the logo.
but i would have to pay to get a register tm

A client of mine recently phoned me up to ask about this situation as he'd been contacted by a company wanting to use the other variations of the domain he's got (nice of the other company to ask), which is his company name. He's a limited company so really no one else should be using his name so he decided to buy up every possible variation of his domain and redirect them on to his site.

Not much help but I thought I'd share

we did an experiment along these lines at work for some press coverage. We registered lastmunite.com (or something like that) and put up a website there. We got 1000's of hits everyday.

We didnt do it for any gain, and rightfully forwarded people to the correct address but we got some decent press articles with our domain name in it and it helped raise awareness of typo squatting.

Its nasty and morally wrong, but at the end of the day its perfectly legal.

I think this sort of thing is called typo sitting (like domain sitting) people do it all the time, things like yaho.com, hotmai.com ... trying to get the stray links, and in some cases try make some money selling you the name.

I have same problem with one of my sites, have a dot com and program called the same thing
