I just loaded it and although it took a little long, once it loaded everything looked great. Love the graphic on top - and thank Marcel for serving our country. (Or if you are Marcel, thank you). GBA!

I find Dreamweavers preloading code (i'm assuming your using Dreamweaver ) very chunky and inefficient, at times they don't even work :S

reduce the amount of images or compress the images to a smaller size, try aim around 30-50kb per page (have to remember us dial-upers)

you have about 21 images, page displays after 185kb but total is over 200kb, which is over a minute wait on 56k modem

The mouseovers are preloading? They seemed to be for me, though the rest of the page loads all in a row.

You can't preload images if there isn't anything else to load, though? Did you want the page to be entirely blank and THEN load with everything in place? Preloading is generally just for mouseovers and sometimes for hidden images that are revealed like covers of a book, sides of clothing, et cetera.

And if the rest of the page loads fast, before all those images can "preload"?

I personally think preloading isn't a good idea in most situations, unless it's going to provide a superior user experience. Perhaps viewing the actual page would help identify if you have a problem and how to fix it?
