Actually this is a pretty useful website - me being a developer myself, keep up the good work!

From a graphic design view point - maybe a bit more color. But hey - developers only really care about content!

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I removed the extra modules. I'm also going to work on permissions on the who's online. I want that on for me, but not necessarily for others.

I have a friend that's a free lance artist coming up with some logos.

I'll also look into the text size and padding. I personally like small text(plus I run everything in 1600x1200), but I forget others aren't automatically the same.

DEFINITELY make the font size bigger. Also think about removing some of the unnecessary items from that front page. All that extra stuff just gets in the way of what the user should be concentrating on. Too much text, and hard to figure out what you should be reading. The Categories menu and "other stories" could definitely go (no need to list those stories twice). Calendar could go on another page if it's really that important. Who's online doesn't need to be there either.

Also reformat your links so they stand out more - I had a hard time getting into the articles because it was hard to pick out the link in the text description there. I was thinking that there should be a "read more" link or a header that links to the actual article but I'm not sure if the sysem allows for that.

Also restyle the form boxes so they look more like forms and they stick out more. The border isn't working in my browser so I can't see them at all! I'm also thinking that the login box should be closer to the top of the page.

I like the colours but think that it needs something else to spice it up a bit as right now it's a bit bland. You definitely need a logo, that's what brands the site and gives it identity, right now you have pages of text and nothing to make the site stand out. IMO the text is way too small, with a site that is mostly text that people will be reading I would expect to see larger, more readable text. The only other thing is that you need some more padding, especially on the left as it's running into the walls.

Good start now you just need to get a bit more artistic!
