    <description> &lt;p&gt;That&#039;s what people usually do, yes - warn people that you need to have the flash plugin installed before starting up the site and/or detect for it using the deployment kit. Otherwise people who don&#039;t have the plugin will be wondering why they&#039;re seeing a blank screen.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It&#039;s important, of course, to make your start page look nice and include a logo and some information about what to expect on the site.  So you&#039;re not correct in saying the page should be blank &lt;img src=&quot;https://www.webmaster-forums.net/misc/smileys/wink.png&quot; title=&quot;Wink&quot; alt=&quot;Wink&quot; class=&quot;smiley-content&quot; /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
