Alright, thanks for the suggestion. I'll just use a banner at top w/out popups for unregistered users. It's CPM, not CPC, so every hit I gain some cash (which I need badly at the moment). I don't particulary like my advert that I'm using now, but apparently our site isn't good enough for any other advertising company like ValueClick, DoubleClick, and the like. If anyone could suggest a better one than AdOptimal I'd love it.

I'll work on getting some grey into the rest of the layout later. I've got a paper, geometry, and I have to color in my music so I don't fail a test grade tomorrow in band. Then there's a battle of the bands I want to go to. Got 4 hours to do all that x_x.

It's a shame you have to have the pop ups (I got 2 in IE) and animated banners. Forums are place go to for chat or info, I doubt your click thru rate on the banners etc would be much (but could be wrong) You should point out the pop ups disappear when you register, I browse a few forums without signing up, if any had pop ups I wouldn't return, there is one I only visit every few weeks as it has this massive annoying advertising banner between the banner and forum, but enough of that

It's very blue, maybe use a bit of the light grey blue from the banner into it somehow, maybe in the thread seperators

Ah i see. Another point i was gonna make was regarding the amount of forums there are in it. If they are all needed, thats fair enough - but some of them could probably be merged into one. This would make newbies feel more comfortable and more sure of where to post.
