    <description> &lt;p&gt;Thanks I agree with that on the width aspect but I was aiming to correct tables that resized om the highth or up and down axis.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;you have width=100% so it will always expand to screen size etc, to fix it you need to set the width to a fixed width.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;IMHO, its better not to have fixed tables&lt;/p&gt;
