Using Opera (will pop ups turned off) so no pop ups for me

OK first up, am a little confused about what the site is about (I've seen you advertise it around the forums but am being a fresh new comer). the main thing that jumps out is the calendar and I think OMG I'm in the past. PHP works on server side. use Javascript for anything date related as it works off client side.
next thing I notice is a very annoying banner thats shaking around, normally it's about now I'd turn images off to stop such things, but anyway.
I click on yesterdays (your today) link and am greeted with another annoying animated banner and a big advert for yugo war bonds ??
found the jokes, why does "se nd" have a gap?

Your right about the amount of content, with all these banners and adverts I don't really trust any links on here, and your bunch of links (navigation) at the bottom looks like a bunch of money making links (for you). I think you need to include the links into the layout more. and give more of an idea of whats the site is about on the main page
