I was going to run your site through the W3C Validator but you need the following in the section of your document.

Looking at the code through the Net Mechanic HTML Checker it looks like you have many font tags that need to be either removed or fixed. Also, it says you are missing a tag on line 40.

Since you are using a style sheet, you can get rid of all of those font tags.

I am getting a wee bit of a horizontal scroll at 800X600.

The logo looks a little blah in my opinion. I think it might be that dark gray color that you are using in the logo. The entire logo could use a little more contrast. Also, the default font for the text to the right of the logo looks out of place. Are you planning to add a graphic tagline here?

Nice work. Just needs a little tweeking.

It happened again. Somebody else already said what I was gonna say. I agree with everything cenithx said (funny characters in the links section, san-serif font on the top header, and a black bar that shows up on top of some pages but not all).

I like it. Looks great. I always go for the clean, simple, easy to navigate design.

About that san-serif fontin the top right, my first notion is that it didn't match the other fonts but I think it needs something more than a font adjustment. I'd say you should put some graphic elements up there but I like the overall design/layout/colors of your site so be careful not to detract from what you've already got. It just seems to blank in that upper right, but whatever you do, be subtle.

Another thing. I've always been a proponent of starting forums small and growing along with your audience. You have too many categories in your forums - all with zero posts. In the world of "branding" that gives off a warning to your visitors and gives them reason to be scared off. In visitors' minds, Lots of posts = lots of users = 'must be a good product if there are so many users. The opposite will also be thought (no posts = 'must be bad'). If you want a forum, start with only a few categories and make every effort to get some posts in there (even if you fake some conversation!) Expand by adding additional subcategories only when they are needed.

I'm very fussy so please excuse me if i'm being too picky

1) The title at the top right that says "DN Checker: Advanced Domain Name Checker".. different font maybe? The entire site is in Verdana except for that title, which is in times new roman. TNR is generally looked upon as a "default" font.. and doesn't really fit in smoothly with such a smooth modern site like yours.

2) Some of your pages have a black line accross the top and some don't. Are you using includes for a template? They help keep things consistent.

3) There's inconsistencies with your table widths.. as Ijump through pages, some pages are wider than others, some menu tables are wider than others, etc. Just by a little bit, but it's noticeable.

4) Links page is messed up. @ symbols appearing all over.

Apart from those, it's a nice site.. very easy to read, smooth, clean, uncluttered, easy to navigate.

Good job.

You site looks good at first glance. The colours you have selected blend well. Something I am never good at

I would change this sentence

"DNChecker will find valuable domain names in major search engines and the Yahoo and DMOZ directory."

to

"DNChecker will find valuable domain names in major search engines such as Yahoo and DMOZ directory."

Also

"DNChecker Direct will crawl through the entire Yahoo and Dmoz directory and find valuable un-registered and expired domain names. "

to

"DNChecker Direct will crawl through the entire Yahoo and Dmoz directory finding valuable un-registered and expired domain names."

Cheers

Hi gariben, we do ask you review at least 3 other sites before asking for one of your own, as per the posting agreement. Thanks
