    <description> &lt;p&gt;First of all, lets look at WHY you&#039;re wanting to force a page refresh. If it&#039;s a part of a coding process for something like a chat application, then you&#039;ll want to do this in the script or program, not in the HTML.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If it&#039;s for another reason (page has been moved), you&#039;ll probably want to look at using .htaccess instead of the meta refresh.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I can&#039;t think of a good reason to use meta-refresh unless you don&#039;t have access to server-side processing.&lt;/p&gt;
