    <description> &lt;p&gt;I don&#039;t think there is any way to determine what connection someone is on, browser or OS, but not ISP. If you are worried about download times, as Jammin said, offer the vistors the option of a faster text version or the slower graphics version (although if done right it shouldn&#039;t be too slow for anyone) and then they can make up their own minds which one to go to.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;i think you should just have a link that would switch in between the two. when i had 56k i still went to the broadband parts of sites because i liked the images.&lt;/p&gt;
