I could have used that article earlier.

My power supplied died on Sat, October 12. Sunday, I ran down to a computer store and bought an Enermax EG465P-VE(FC) for about $100. A bit more than I wanted to pay, but I was desperate (last in stock, nothing in stock for lower models). ... and its 431 watts of fun.

The Cadillac (or Mercedes) of Power Supplies has always been those of PC Power and Cooling . I have one of their silencer series, which I can't even hear running, and another one. They are quite pricey but the best. Antec's are a good lesser expensive choice. I usually just make sure that the one that I buy with the case is approved by Intel or AMD unless it is a production server.
