I really don't think there's a way to install IIS reliably. I was thinking maybe to install PWS (personal web server) but I've heard that doesn't work with XP too well either.

Do you have Office XP? I'm not sure, but maybe if you install FrontPage XP it will install it's own web server that you could use to test ASP pages.

I want to install IIS on my Windows XP Home Edition because I have to view the actual page of an asp file.

Is there other ways of viewing ASP page offline withWindows XP Home Edition?

Yes this is correct but I heard there was a workaround by adding a couple files and doing some registry work. Might be worth lookin for.

I'm pretty sure you can't install IIS on Windows XP Home Edition, you'll have to upgrade to Windows XP Professional.
