    <description> &lt;p&gt;Even though the width may not be quite right you can always stick maxlength in there to keep it to so many characters. Plus if you need a certain width or height you can use css.&lt;br /&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;I think if you use non-fixed-width fonts like verdana instead of fixed-width fonts like courier, you get varying widths.&lt;/p&gt;
