Thanx Sonia and Busy,

The space between the Home and the other buttons are actually meant to be. I think that it does make sense when you understand Dutch

I'll try to think of some kind of divider Sonia.

For this particular site I actually don't mind that pictures take too long to load and that it won't show up in all browsers, because it's going to be part of a CD-rom application in a company-made browser.

Thanx for noticing the change of the letters Busy, didn't see that one myself (think I'll have to skew them in stead of making them italic)

I was begining to wonder if i had the right site, i couldnt see any blue background on IE5, so switch to Opera6 (as opera) and now see it

Looks good in IE but everything is squashed and hidden in opera at 800x600 on 17in screen

Also noticed the mouseovers (left) are very slow in loading, only one loaded when the page did and the rest needed a help on ie, on opera they were blank blues until mouseovers loaded.
the letters themselves on mouseover change (a and q), q you could get away with but the a changing makes it look like another word. but I guess if you know what the word says youd understand.

Just a few things that caught my attention.

The image on the home page has a rounded top right corner but I can see some light, light gray that makes it squared. (if that makes sense)

When you click on the Kilk hier links on the right, the left side nav has a space in between Home and the sub links below home. Not sure but wouldn't it look more consistent if that little space wasn't there. Maybe the space would make sense if I could understand the language. ??

Might just be me but it seems like there should be some sort of divider just below the top graphic. As it is now, when you scroll the IFrame, the words sort of disappear into white space.

Oh, I just read where you said the pics are just temporary so scrath the part where I was fussing about the image.

I think the title logo at the top could be a little more pronounced. The Qompas graphic over powers the title of the site.

Other than those few little personal preferences it looks nice Jack.

First of all, thanx for the quick replies.

Second of all, seems that I should have mentioned some things :
-This 'site' is going to be a part of a CD-rom application, which is built for 800x600. Users are never going to see the dark blue bg. I just made the bg for this demo IE version.
-I don't like the position of the rabobank animation either. Not my choice though ($$$;))
-The pics are just temp pics, they are going to be replaced by better ones, sharper and matching the subject.
-The frames are staying , no matter what, for technical reasons.

I'll try to fix something on the mouseovers.

See this is a shades of blue design that doesn't look like all the other shades of blue designs out there.

I think the background looks really good at 1024 x 768 (taskbar on the right side). IMO this is what really makes this design unique. However, you ought to consider re-coding the site without the frames. There does tend to be some tilining anomalies here and there (the pattern isn't matching up across some of the frames). Also try to do something different with the mouseovers - I don't think that the effect you've got is enough of a difference from the original.

Other than that it's really hard to say without understanding the language or knowing more about what this is supposed to be about.

I don't like the darker background very much either, for the same reason as Julia's.

The "rabobank" (or whatever it is ) animation, I think, spoils the nav area. It might look better if you put it elsewhere, maybe.

The image on the home page is quite fuzzy. I don't know if you intended that, but it kills the sharp clarity of the rest of the design.

The rest of the design is really good, especially the bright blues.

Overall, it made a good impression.

First thing I notice (apart from the fact I can't understand a word of it!!) is that the far right frame gets chopped at 800*600 half way through Study Travel. I like the colours which give the site a nice fresh feel but when it's on a larger resolution the dark background makes it feel a bit closed in. On the home page the picture doesn't have a white background so the rounded corner bit shows the grey behind.
