&lt;p&gt;I&#039;ve done this on a Windows and OS9 Mac, just can&#039;t figure it out on OSX.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;Generally you would add a value like this:&lt;br /&gt;
IP address    central.net&lt;br /&gt;
to the /etc/hosts file. Not too sure how this works going through the OSX gui.&lt;/p&gt;
